This error message does not appear if you choose Quick Preview from the Help menu, but your system may still stop responding (hang). CAUSE ===== The Excel 5.0 CBT is not designed to run under Windows NT; this is to avoid direct access to graphics or any other devices. Excel 5.0 CBT is not recommended to run under Windows NT. WORKAROUND ========== To work around this behavior and to run the Excel 5.0 CBT under Windows NT, do the following steps: 1. Create an EXCELCBT subdirectory under the EXCEL directory. 2. Copy all the files from the EXCELCBT subdirectory from a Windows or Windows for Workgroups computer. 3. Edit the EXCEL5.INI file to have CBTLOCATION = :\EXCEL\EXCELCBT in [Microsoft Excel] section. 4. Run Excel and the CBT by choosing Example and Demos from the Help menu. The CBT should run fine after you have completed the above steps.
